Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
Sidestand is operated by Arcturus Digital Consulting ("we", "us"), based in the United Kingdom. We are the data controller for personal data processed through the Sidestand app. Contact: help@arcturusdc.com.
2. What data we collect and why
- Account data — when you sign in with Google, Apple, or Microsoft we receive your name, email address, and a unique account identifier. Used to create your account and keep your records yours.
- Your records — the bikes, odometer readings, rides, trips, maintenance history, map pins, and documents you add. This is the product: it exists so you can see it, and for no other purpose.
- Purchase state — if you subscribe to Premium, our payments provider (RevenueCat) processes your subscription state. We never see your card details; payment is handled by the App Store or Google Play.
- Diagnostics — basic crash and performance data so we can fix problems. No advertising identifiers, no ad tracking, no sale of data — ever.
Sidestand has no social feed, followers, or public profiles — your records are visible only to your own account. The app does, however, rely on the third-party services listed in section 5 (sign-in, maps, and subscription processing) to function.
3. Where your data is stored
Your records are stored in Google Firebase (Firestore), in the London (europe-west2) region. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
4. How long we keep your data
For as long as you keep your account. Delete your data or your account at any time from Settings in the app — deletion is immediate and permanent. See how to delete your account or request data deletion.
5. Third-party services
- Google Firebase — authentication, database, storage (privacy).
- Sign in with Google / Apple / Microsoft — authentication only.
- RevenueCat — subscription management (privacy).
6. Children
Sidestand is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
7. Your rights (UK / GDPR)
You have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, object to the processing of, and delete your personal data. Most of these you can exercise directly in the app; for anything else email help@arcturusdc.com. You may also complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).
8. Changes to this policy
We will post any changes here and update the date above. Material changes will be flagged in the app.
